You told us, and we heard you! As a community owned organization, Penobscot Theatre Company is committed to serving the public. We have received numerous requests for adult education programming.  To this end, we have included two courses for our fall semester that are opportunities for teen and adult learners. We are also aware of the economic challenges in our community.  We are now offering a “new student” discounted rate of $175 for our fall Audition Seminar course.  In addition to this, anyone who participated in our initial improv class is also eligible to register for our Introduction to Improvisation Technique for the same rate.  Space is limited so visit our website and register TODAY!

Audition Seminar: (Jasmine Ireland) Ages 16+  September 18 – October 26 Tuesdays 3 – 6 p.m. Ever wonder why you aren’t getting cast despite your most earnest efforts?  Auditioning can be one of the most complicated and nerve wracking experiences an actor has.  Whether you are preparing to audition for a college program or a local theater, learn to create the ultimate audition package! This class will include instruction on choosing and performing monologues, resume formatting, where to find work, and much more!

Improvisation: (Brad LaBree) Ages 18+  September 17 – October 26 Mondays 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.   We invite all interested adult learners to come join us for Improv 101, a course designed to provide skill sets in on-your-feet thinking as well as a place to blow off some steam at the end of a Monday!  Techniques covered in this course are theatrical in nature but can greatly benefit anyone interested in public speaking, creative problem solving and team building  exercises.
