“Have you ever been tempted to flee your own life? Becky Foster is caught in middle age, middle management and in a middling marriage—with no prospects for change on the horizon. Then one night a socially inept and grief-struck millionaire stumbles into the car dealership where Becky works. Becky is offered nothing short of a new life…and the audience is offered a chance to ride shotgun in a way that most plays wouldn’t dare. BECKY’S NEW CAR is a thoroughly original comedy with serious overtones, a devious and delightful romp down the road not taken.” – Dramatist Play Service, Inc.

MISSED THE PREVIEW?!  Here’s what PTC audience members are saying about Becky’s New Car!

Randy Hunt, Director at Tenbucks Theater Company

“Becky’s New Car was an absolute evening of fun! The modified seating arrangement really helped pull the audience into the show, and even though I wasn’t sitting in the new seats, I still felt that I was sitting right in Becky’s living room. The characters were fun and clearly defined, from the midlife confused “Becky”, to her somewhat-in-the-dark husband “Joe”, to their hilarious and aloof son “Chris”. The supporting characters were well-played, the directing superb, the costumes spot-on, and the set fantastic – especially with some very creative use of lighting. Another absolute must-see winner for PTC!”

Colette Sabbagh, Pediatrician and PTC Parent Council Member

“I thought Becky’s new car was extremely creative. There were quirky twists that kept it very entertaining without being too out there. I think anyone of any age would love the show. There’s a great story with a lot of entertainment on top of it. The word needs to get out about the show because everyone should see it. Everyone MUST and I mean MUST see Becky’s New Car at the Penobscot Theater. It was so funny and surprising. Very creative. Don’t miss it!!  A very new and hip show.”

“Wow the show last night was one of my favorites ever!  I identified with the character a great deal, the actors were very very engaging and I didn’t get ancy at all, as I often do with theatre, so good to  have such theatre here!”
